T-Days was a hoot even with the rain that tried to dampen the events. Trent Tomlinson was GREAT on stage Saturday and I had to cancel the Ely Young Band simply bit was because the rain soaked the stage in water BUT the good news is we are going to bring back the Ely Young Band to Cowboys for a show and we'll let you know about that as soon as we put the details together.
J-Rod had me arrested at T-Days (for charity) be sure to check out his blog and see the pictures.
I could have done without his Bullhorn announcements as they took me off to 'jail' - it was all in good fun!

KEMPO ROCKS!
Hello everyone and thanks again for checkin' out my blog.
I had a meeting with a new client to Cat Country; it's Kempo Rocks Karate! I was talking with Marty Taylor the head instructor and he's got me interested in taking some classes at their brand new location - 2458 Montebello Square Dr in Colorado Springs - its on Academy north of Union (719-231-3557) this is a lot different from the other Martial Arts I've been involved with in the past. Marty isn't about the MMA and the UFC type ground and pound (which I love to watch) - but his school is more about FAMILY and a solid foundation from which to work from.
Marty and his wife have come up with a great tag line: "Be Strong and Courageous"... if you are a mom looking to get your children involved in sports this summer - try looking at Karate Rocks. You can look at their website at kemporocks.com or email Marty at marty@kemporocks.com
Please tell Marty Jim West of Cat Country sent you!
BAND ALERT!!!!!!!
The band I play in "LATIGO" is playing at the Carey On Saloon this Friday and Saturday Nights. We start at 9pm each evening - come out and see what the buzz is all about with LATIGO.
Thanks gang!

WOW! the Wild Wild West Fest was a huge success as well as the PBR events for Saturday and Sunday, both events were sold out! And Cat Country was the ONLY country station that was the official voice for the West Fest and the PBR events - but Cat Country was already the official voice for the PBR as well as the PRCA - the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo - Territory Days - Spring Spree and the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame! When it comes to All things Professional Cowboy - Cowgirl - PBR events and Rodeos Cat Country is proud to be associated with the great people in the rodeo and PBR worlds.

Eric Church concert at Cowboys was a hoot! Eric puts on a great show and the crowd was really pumped. This was my second time to meet Eric and still a really humble down to earth regular guy!
Now that Mothers Day is past - time to start thinking about Fathers Day?
All of us at Cat Country is looking forward to Wild Wild West Fest this weekend. Top Bull Riders in the world will be attending the PBR events! This is going to be one great show! See you there!

Ok, I'm told to let a little insight into my life for you so here goes. I play in a country band and it's called LATIGO. We have been practicing the past several months like we have no lives other than being in a band (after work hours of course). I have to say, this is one of the best bands I've ever been in (honestly) and we've been getting great reviews from some of the places we've been playing.
We haven't really advertised the band yet as we are just getting started but in a few weeks we'll be at the Carey-On-Saloon. LATIGO will also be playing at the Wild West Fest coming up and we've been playing a couple of places in Denver too. I'll post some pictures soon if I can find any cool ones - only Rene Tate (official Cat Country photographer) can really good a good picture of me....!

We have a great summer planned for Cat Country listeners - Territory Days on the way and Spring Spree too. We'll have some great acts coming for both events. We also have the Summer Concert Series coming to The Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame too - Once again some great artist coming for the series. West Fest and the PBR - we have the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo - all of which Cat Country is the official country radio station voice. Need a new AC unit for your home - just click around on the web site some more and I'm sure you'll find lots of interesting contests and events you and your family can attend. Thanks again for listening to Cat Country! We really appreciate it!
